About
This BLOG is intended to provide up to date information relevant to the Automated Parking (AP) industry.
With over ten different system types, hundreds of manufactures and no one company or person to explain the differences, it can be frustrating to find the proper product for your project. Recognizing there was not a one-stop shop for developers, architects, consultants, engineers, general contractors and municipalities to turn to, Automated Robotic Parking (ARP) decided to gather the knowledge of this industry. With the help and expertise of key individuals we are able to answer the questions professionals are looking for when exploring robotic or mechanical parking in their development projects.
Subscribers will find tools for comparing AP to conventional parking, project updates, FAQ’s, videos, sample designs, North American installations and current industry news.
We encourage you to subscribe and help grow this site’s knowledge base by utilizing the “Ask an Expert” form located to the right of every page. Your questions will be responded to within 24 hours and the answers posted.
About Our Founder
Donald Jagoda has more than 30 years of professional experience in cutting edge technology. He has worked with major corporations, governments, non-government organizations, and international organizations to find solutions for issues facing the developing world.
From 2008 to 2012, Donald held the position of Director of North American Sales at Boomerang Automated Parking Systems Inc. With a passion for the environment and ground breaking technology, Boomerang was a perfect fit for him as it is the only company in the world that manufactures the legacy “rack and rail” systems as well as the new AGV style “Robotic Valet”.
In 2013 Donald resigned as the Director of Sales to pursue a broader role in the mechanical/robotic parking industry, with the understanding that each project is unique and one or two manufacturer’s products did not always fit the various needs of each client. Donald is now a representative for a select number of manufactures capable of delivering the right products to this unique North American market.
Automated/robotic parking is a relatively new concept in North America.
Part of Donald’s role is to familiarize, consult and educate developers, architects, city officials, and engineers on the environmental and financial benefits of automated/robotic parking. Donald provides the knowledge of every available system in the industry along with the pros and cons of each.
Prior to Boomerang, Donald was the founder of two successful technology businesses:
- Digital Logic Services (DLS) – Purchased by McDonald Douglas
- GolfeNetwork (GEN) – Purchased by the ACTIVE Network
Each company was responsible for changes in the way corporations and the public interact with computers on a daily basis.
DLS was part of an early effort introducing “Automated Guided Vehicles” (AGV’s) into factories and warehouses worldwide. AGV software developed by DLS in the 80’s is still in operation today in several automotive factories around the world.
GEN was the first company to provide golfers the ability to make tee times remotely using computers and telephones. In 2002 GEN merged with TeeTimeKing (TTK) and became one of the largest suppliers of golf technology in the world.
In 2005 Donald coordinated the sale of TTK to San Diego based The Active Network. The Active Network now hosts and distributes the largest database of available golf tee times in the world using technology created by GEN.
Outside the office, Donald is a father to two young girls, who both are members of the cheer, golf and tennis teams.
